
Nattokinase source:Nattokinase is an enzyme (a protein that speeds up biochemical reactions) that is extracted from a popular Japanese food called natto. Natto is boiled soybeans that have been fermented with a bacterium called Bacillus natto.
Nattokinase introduction:It has the capability to break down any blood clots. Nattokinase was discovered in 1980 by a doctor known as Hiroyuki Sumi from Japan Miyazaki Medical College while studying in Chicago. Since it was discovered, the cardiovascular effects of Nattokinase have been studied in the many countries. It has been found to play the function similar to that of plasmin, an enzyme responsible for breaking down blood clots.
